The last lemon

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade they say. But what if, from all the lemons that life has given you, there’s only one left. Do you make lemonade out of that lemon too? Or do you cherish it?

The last lemon may be sour, rotten or even sweet. You’ll only know if you make lemonade out of it. The last lemon may have hair which their mom tells them to cut every time. The last lemon might complain to you about their life always. You might always be the listener but never listened to. You might always be the poet never the poem. But the last lemon will always be your poem.

Life gave you lemons, and you chose to squeeze ’em dead. The juices ran into the lemonade maker. You added your sugar, your salt, and your personal spice to it. Only when you drank it did you realize, the lemon was always rotten.
